Transparent product prices, seller plans, auction charges and billing
Pricing & Fees Policy
This policy explains how prices and charges are presented on SokoLive.Live, operated by Soko Live LLC. It covers buyer purchases and fees for sellers, creators and other paid platform services. A listing, plan selection or auction notice may contain transaction-specific details, but cannot override mandatory law or conceal a compulsory charge. Read this policy with our Terms of Service and Refund & Returns Policy.
1. Product prices and purchase total
Sellers set the price and accurately describe what is included, the item's condition, quantity and applicable options. Different variants may have different prices. The currency must be identifiable. Before you commit to pay, the order summary must show the item subtotal and applicable compulsory charges, including tax, shipping and any platform or auction fee. Where local rules require tax-inclusive advertised prices, the displayed consumer price must include that tax.
Optional extras require a positive choice; they must not be added using a preselected option. If a charge cannot reasonably be calculated in advance, the basis of calculation and the possibility of that charge must be disclosed before commitment. We will not rely on a footer policy alone to introduce a fee that was absent from the purchase flow. Check the final currency and total before authorising payment.
2. Seller subscription schedule
The following standard schedule reflects the seller tiers published in SokoLive's Terms of Service at the date above. Monthly fees use Ghanaian Cedi (GHS) as the base currency, with local-currency conversion where offered. A separately agreed promotional or enterprise offer must clearly state its price, period and conditions. Mandatory taxes, if additional, must be disclosed before enrolment.
| Plan | Base monthly fee | Sales commission |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze | GHS 380 | 8% of Gross Transaction Value |
| Silver | GHS 700 | 7% of Gross Transaction Value |
| Gold | GHS 1,400 | 6% of Gross Transaction Value |
| Platinum | GHS 3,400 | 5% of Gross Transaction Value |
Plans include differing listing promotion and content-support benefits described in the plan offer. Availability, quantities, duration, geographic limits and any delivery requirements for those benefits must be disclosed at selection. No plan guarantees sales, a minimum audience, placement beyond its stated duration, or a particular financial return. A free-registration or trial message does not by itself promise that selling, paid promotion or a subscription remains free.
3. Commissions and other seller charges
The commission percentage above is separate from the monthly subscription. "Gross Transaction Value" or "GTV" means the transaction base specified in the seller's accepted commercial schedule. Before a seller accepts a plan, that schedule or enrolment summary must identify the base on which commission is calculated, including treatment of discounts, taxes, shipping, buyer premiums, refunds and cancellations. We do not use the label GTV to add an undisclosed fee base.
Payment processing, withdrawal, conversion, advertising, fulfilment or other service charges apply only where disclosed and agreed or otherwise lawfully payable. We do not introduce a second undisclosed commission merely because a sale occurs in a livestream or auction. Statements should identify relevant deductions and adjustments. An approved refund or reversal is treated according to the accepted seller agreement and applicable law, without retaining a charge that must legally be returned. Ask support about an unclear deduction before initiating a further transaction.
4. Recurring billing, cancellation and plan changes
A subscription renews automatically only where recurring billing has been clearly disclosed and expressly authorised. The enrolment summary must state the amount or a clear calculation method, billing frequency, first charge, renewal timing, trial or discount expiry, and how to cancel. An acknowledgement or receipt records the subscription terms. Where payment is manual or a method does not support recurring billing, renewal requires the stated payment action; a payment method's availability is not authority for an automatic debit.
Cancel through the account subscription controls where available or email help@sokolive.live. A simple online cancellation mechanism must be provided wherever applicable law requires it; contacting support is an additional route, not a substitute for that requirement. Cancellation stops future renewal after the request takes effect and will be confirmed. Unless the offer or law provides otherwise, access continues for the paid period and cancellation does not create a prorated refund for unused time. Charges taken after an effective cancellation will be corrected.
An upgrade, downgrade or changed billing date must disclose when it takes effect and any additional or prorated charge before you confirm. We give advance notice of a recurring price increase, including its effective date and cancellation options, in the form and period required by law or your agreement. Where fresh consent is required, no increased recurring charge is taken without it. A revised website price does not retrospectively alter an accepted order.
5. Auctions, bids and buyer premiums
Auction listings must state the bidding currency, relevant bid increments and any reserve conditions required to understand the sale. A starting bid is not necessarily the final sale price. A buyer premium, if charged, is additional to the winning bid and must be prominently disclosed with its percentage or amount and calculation base before a bid is placed. Tax and shipping treatment must also be disclosed. There is no universal buyer-premium rate created by this policy.
Your payable amount is the accepted winning bid plus the disclosed buyer premium, applicable tax and delivery or other expressly accepted charges, less any applicable discount. A display in an alternative currency is informational unless expressly confirmed as the payment currency. Auto-bid or proxy-bid limits must be interpreted in their stated currency and must not be represented as the complete payable total if further disclosed charges apply. A valid winning bid is subject to the auction terms and mandatory cancellation and refund rights.
6. Currency conversion and payment methods
Available payment methods and currencies depend on your location, seller, product, provider eligibility and the transaction. The payment screen identifies the selected route. Conversion of a GHS-based fee or cross-currency purchase must show the settlement currency and the quoted converted amount, or the agreed calculation method before authorisation. Rates may change between browsing and checkout; the confirmed transaction record controls an accepted charge.
A bank, card issuer, wallet or other independent provider may impose its own foreign-exchange margin or fee. Such a provider charge is separate from a SokoLive fee and should be checked with that provider. We do not describe a payment as "fee-free" if an unavoidable charge imposed by us remains. For cryptocurrency or stablecoin payments, confirm the quoted asset, network, amount, quote expiry and responsibility for any network fee; sending to the wrong network can prevent recovery.
7. Taxes, delivery and cross-border orders
Applicable sales tax, VAT or similar charges depend on the seller, item and destination and must be presented as required by local law. Delivery prices depend on the quoted service, destination and fulfilment conditions. Estimated delivery times are not an undisclosed entitlement to a surcharge. Where tax registration or invoice information is legally required, the responsible supplier must provide it.
For cross-border orders, customs duty, import tax and clearance charges may be payable to a carrier or public authority unless included in the offer. The listing or checkout must make the allocation of these charges clear before purchase and state how they are calculated where reasonably possible. No statement in this policy transfers a tax liability contrary to law. Refunds of charges collected by an independent authority may follow that authority's procedure.
8. Discounts, price errors and availability
Promotions must explain their duration, eligibility, minimum spend, stock limits, exclusions and interaction with other offers. Reference or "was" prices and claimed savings must be truthful and comply with applicable price-reduction rules. Scarcity or countdown statements must not be fabricated. Price personalisation using automated decision-making will be disclosed where required.
If an obvious pricing or calculation error is discovered, we will explain it and offer any lawful correction or cancellation route. We will not debit an additional amount without authority. An error clause does not give us an unrestricted right to cancel a binding order or remove mandatory rights. Where an order cannot lawfully or practically be fulfilled and is cancelled, payments must be refunded under the Refund & Returns Policy.
9. Billing disputes and records
Review your confirmation and billing statement. For a duplicate charge, wrong amount, unexplained deduction or renewal dispute, contact help@sokolive.live with the order/subscription reference, payment date, amount and currency. Do not send full payment credentials. Reporting promptly helps investigation and does not reduce a statutory complaint, refund or chargeback period. We will explain the result and correct substantiated errors. You may seek escalation at legal@sokolive.live or use applicable provider, regulator or court remedies.
This policy does not create a government-insured deposit product, a guaranteed return or a right to hold customer funds beyond lawful processing needs. Seller payout timing and any permitted reserve are governed by the disclosed seller terms and applicable law; they do not delay a refund that must be issued to a buyer. Updates operate prospectively, subject to agreed terms and required notice or consent.
